Re-Governor Okowa Must Hear This-by Cyprian Odifili

Our attention have been drawn to the online publication in several forums by Cyprian Odifili, wherein he made several spurious assertions as it concerns Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC in Amai, Umubu.

To put the records straight, on the 5/09/2016, Hon Ochor Ochor, the Executive Director Social Services Development, and Hon Fidelis Otuya one of the Commissioners representing Ndokwa nation on the board of DESOPADEC led a team on project inspection to Amai and was received by Sir Dele Omenogor, Hon Gilbert Ejede, Amai Chiefs and other community members.

During the project tour, the team attention was drawn to the unutilized equipment’s and drugs presented by DESOPADEC to Amai, Umubu and kept in the town hall.

The DESOPADEC team informed those present that the primary Health Care Centre was not built by the commission and that the effective use of the equipment should be handled by the community and the management of the Primary Health Care Centre.

The staffing of the Primary Health Care Centre, drugs administration and management, are not the duties of DESOPADEC.

I implore Mr. Cyprian Odifili to properly  investigate the agency that built the PHC and the authourity in charge of staffing the Centre for them to be informed of DESOPADEC kind gesture of presenting equipment and drugs to Amai, Umubu community.

DESOPADEC under this board will not fail in his duty to ensure that the people of Amai Umubu gets the necessary developmental attention, most especially now they have a competent member on the board in the person of Hon Ochor Chris Ochor.
