PAN-AFRICAN STUDENTS CONGRESS HONOUR DESOPADEC M.D/CEO OLOROGUN WILLIAMS MAKINDE WITH 21ST CENTURY AFRICAN LEADERSHIP ICON OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE AND A ROLE MODEL TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION AWARD:

Today, the  international leadership of the Pan-African Students Congress (PASCON),the umbrella body of all the students Schooling in higher institutions of learning in the African Continent honour the managing Director/CEO of Delta state oil producing areas development Commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Williams Makinde with an award of Excellence tagged:" 21ST CENTURY AFRICAN LEADERSHIP ICON OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE AND A ROLE MODEL TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION AWARD ".In a keynote address by the president Jean Bedel Coulibaly he said, the Award is to commend the managing director/CEO of DESOPADEC for his strong commitment and passion for education,  youth development ,Advocacy for Good Governance ,Nation building ,his relentless Commitment to the Development of the oil producing communities of the state and most especially his transparency and accountability as the managing director of the state owned intervention Agency to fast track the development of the oil producing communities.

Comrade Lucky Emonefe, Nigeria Representative of the union said the eyes of the  African Students have been watching the managing director /CEO of DESOPADEC  Olorogun Williams Makinde for his diligent approach to issues that affect the oil producing Communities ,his strong passion for youth empowerment .He said the Award is to relate to the Managing director how much his positive impacts are felt by the Students and youths of Nigeria and across the African Continent.

In his Acceptance Speech,the managing Director/CEO of Delta state oil producing areas development Commission (DESOPADEC) Olorogun Williams Makinde urge the African students to shun all forms of Violence in their various institutions of learning. He also use the opportunity to advice African students to shun Cyber crime,cultism,Drugs Abuse. He Commend the leadership of the Pan-African Students (PASCON) for the Award, just as he urged youths of the oil producing areas of the state to key into the Skill acquisition Training of the commission that will soon commence. Also present at the Award presentation Ceremony was the Executive Director Social services Development in the board of DESOPADEC the person of Hon.Christopher Ochor Ochor .
