The attention of the Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has been drawn to a fictitious and malicious Press Statement published in Thenationonline on the 16th of June, 2018 and credited to a faceless and non existing Civil Society Organization known as The Coalition Of Human Rights And Good Governance (CHRGG). Consequent upon the said Press Statement, we make the following submissions:
1. That this is a well known and familiar terrain designed to target perceived political adversaries especially politicians that are outspoken against the oppression of the masses. We cannot forget in a hurry that this same method is being deployed against Senators Dino Melaye, Shehu Sani and the president of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
2. In 2013 as far as the history of Ibusa is concerned, no such incidence ever took place in the peaceful town of Ibusa neither was the incident recorded with the Ibusa Division of the Nigerian Police nor the Delta State Police Command.
3. The names Zikira Saswad and Uba Nonso are totally alien to the person of Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as does everyone around the federal lawmaker. So, it is safe to admit these names were concocted for the sole aim of this cheap and attempted blackmail of the person of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.
4. This Press Statement by a faceless and non existing CSO is 100% politically motivated to tarnish the hard earned reputations of Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi; which he has earned over several decades owning to excellent service delivery both in Oshimili North, Delta State and Nigeria at large.
5. Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi is hereby assuring the good and loving people of Delta North that this allegation will be tackled head-on with all passion and there will be legal consequences.
6. Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and his entire legal team will work with the security agencies and all relevant agencies towards unmasking the faceless Coalition Of Human Rights And Good Governance (CHRGG) and their sponsors in order to bring them to deserved justice.
Finally, Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi urges for total calm from his teeming supporters across Delta North, Delta State and Nigeria as a whole. There's nothing to worry about because there's no iota of truth or facts in the concocted and fictitious story.
Together with you, we will continue to build a better Delta North that will be the bragging rights to all of us.
