As the whole world marks the remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ which brought salvation and grace to mankind, the chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue services, Chief Sir. Monday Onyeme has urged Deltans to renew their faith in Jesus Christ and emulate his lifestyle, while he was with men on earth.
In his message of goodwill in commemoration of Christmas, Onyeme said that Christmas is a season of love and as such, everyone who believes in Christ should show love to their neighbours, friends, family, the society; to reflect on the life of Jesus Christ, who by virtue of his birth and coming to the world, brought grace, salvation and redemption unto mankind.
"He noted that the celebration of the birth of Christ should also feature acts of benevolences from Christians because of what the birth of Jesus symbolizes".
Chief Sir. Monday Onyeme expressed gratitude to God Almighty for his unending love over the lives of Deltans, appreciating Him for preserving the lives of His people to witness this year's Christmas.
He however, pleaded with Deltans to continually support the administration of the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa with constant prayers for God to continue to grant him divine direction, fertile health and wisdom, in his quest of building a Stronger Delta.
The DBIRS boss also urged his teeming supporters especially those who benefited from his altruistic act, in honour of the season, to also in their little capacities extend the hand of fellowship.
"Despite the challenges we may have faced this year which is becoming an history, let's rekindle our hopes with great optimism for a better new year", he said.
Chief Onyeme equally expressed the state's government gratitude to all Deltans for their unwavering support since the beginning of the current adminstration, assuring Deltans of the government's warmest regards.
Onyeme wished Deltans a happy and peaceful Christmas celebration and a blissful New Year in advance.
