Delta State Commissioner of Information, Mr Patrick Ukah has said that Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa was more preoccupied with spreading democratic dividends to the people of the state through the SMART agenda , urging that governor Ifeanyi Okowa is even more committed than ever in the development and creation of more jobs opportunity in the state than issues about re-election bid adding that 2019 shall take care of itself.
He further said that the state Governor is even more committed to the development of the state, no part of Delta state will be left untouched with available resources as the SMART government is doing all within her power to make Delta a better place build the new Delta of our dreams.
While briefing the press on the activities of the government after the weekly executive meeting, the Information Commissioner disclosed that the new logo of the state and the catchphrase ‘finger of God‘ has been dropped for the ‘Big Heart Of The Nation‘. He added that a new Delta State anthem has been approved and called on Deltans to learn how to sing it like the national anthem.
On the heaps of refuse that have taken over the streets of Asaba, the Commissioner said that the Ministry of Environment and the Waste Management Board were working round the clock to make Asaba clean again.
