OTUARO URGES WARRI PRISON INMATES TO BE COMMITTED TO GOD’S WORD

WARRI: Delta State Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, a prominent member of Christ Embassy, Warri Zone, today, tasked Warri Prisons inmates to be prayerful and committed to God’s word which he said remains capable of fulfilling their hearts’ desires.

Otuaro gave the charge while speaking at the commissioning of a Skills Acquisition Centre in Warri Prisons rehabilitated by Christ Embassy Warri Zone as part of the church’s Reach-Out-Nigeria (RON) prison project activities to mark Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary.

Other items donated and commissioned by Siji Dara, Pastor and Director of Christ Embassy Warri Zone, include 2 Hilux Vehicles (one for the Warri Prison Authorities and the other for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency), Sewing/Hair Dressing Machines, Outdoor Table Tennis Board/accessories, Free drugs, 1500 copies of Rhapsody of Realities and “restocking of Mini Library with ministry materials/Bibles by our man of God, Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome”.

Many more inmates joined the ranks of Christ Embassy in professing belief in Christ following ministrations at the ceremony. The elated prison inmates showed their appreciation for Christ Embassy Warri Zone Prison Project with cultural dances even as Sister Mercy and Tamakuro David Pade and other inmates voiced their thanks for the donations.

Otuaro, who has maintained passion for prison ministry for about 10 years before becoming Deputy Governor, said one of the cardinal expectations for reaching out to all including prisoners is to help “make prison homes truly corrective and reformative”. Besides, it is to enable inmates “come out physically, psychologically and spiritually ready to fit into society and be people God planned them to be”.

Mr. Sam Iyakoregha, the Controller of Prisons, Delta State Command, who appreciated Christ Embassy for their consistent Prison Ministry asserted that “the only thing that can reform is the word of God”. He prayed that God grant Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, with abiding desire for transformation of inmates, “increase and growth, politically and economically”.
