........ .. Youths have been urged to believe in themselves as this is a very basic foundation for a bright and successful future.
The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, stated this while delivering a motivational lecture to students of Dreams Alive Academy, a capacity building forum of the Honour Christian Assembly, in Ibusa on Thursday.
Mr. Ukah, who spoke on the need for youths to discover themselves, stressed the need for healthy dreams by youths as a catalyst to achieving greatness
He said, “youths must separate their spiritual body from their physical body. The foundation of Christ for the growth of any youth cannot be overemphasized. Don’t be rash in making decision and let the Holy Spirit guide you always.”
Mr. Ukah told the youths that they are lucky to have a God-fearing person as governor of the state, stressing that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is poised to deliver on his campaign promises to the people of the state.
In her response, the group’s Captain, Mitchelle Franklin-Ojugbana, disclosed that the academy was established to guild youths in career management and to build a foundation for achieving their dreams.
She said, “Dreams Alive is an inspiration from God to Bishop Franklin Golden Egbe, in 2006 to build an army for the lord. Today we are celebrating our 10th year anniversary and we have every reason to smile. The need for youths to look unto God for guidance becomes a matter for reflection at all time.”
The Matron of the group, Hon. Barr. Kate Onianwa, thanked the Information Commissioner for coming to the programme despite the short notice.
Prayers were offerer for Mr. Ukah by the founder of the group, Bishop Franklin Golden Egbe.
