The current state of Illah/Ugbolu/Asaba road need not be overemphasized. But for the intervention of an illustrious son of Illah whom without his philanthropic disposition the Illah people would have continued to be cut off till date.
There is no gain saying the fact that the Illah/Ugbolu/Asaba road falls within the control and authority of the Federal Government as it is a Federal Road. The fact that the road is a Federal Government controlled road notwithstanding, the Chief James Onanefe Ibori’s led PDP Government of Delta State being conscious of the plight of the people of Illah and other neighboring towns and villages and decided to and indeed tarred the road thereby bringing succor to the people.
Nevertheless, with the construction and commissioning of the Utor Bridge Abuja link road, the Illah, Ugbolu/Asaba road became choice route to Abuja by heavy duty trailers and other road commuters. The heightened traffic on the road however resulted in the current state of disrepair of the road.
Today in Illah, we have a politician who represents himself as a leader in the political structure of the APC. Since Illah/Ugbolu/Asaba Road is a Federal Government controlled road, one would have expected that such a politician who holds himself out strongly as a leader in the APC political Structure would use his influence in attracting the APC lead Federal Governments attention to come and construct the Illah/Ugbolu/Asaba road which is the APC Federal Government primary responsibility rather than sponsoring hate article using his political rubber stamp boys to publish hate but uninformed articles about other political parties and other individuals in governance.
Criticisms are welcomed in governance; however, they must be constructive rather than being destructive. The sponsoring and publishing of ill motivated articles against the government or individual players in governance does not make you a better option. Rather it portrays you as a terrible and stone age politician.
